Goose neck pitcher

The idea for this one came from a doodle as do most of my ideas. I really liked the shape and curves how they flow together. this one is done all by hand using coils and shaping tools The handles were an after thought mostly for support and decoration. I do like the criss-cross in the front. similar to the other pitcher that I made. The criss-cross pitcher came first.

Multicolored

this is one of my more successful attempts on the wheel, I am more of a hand-builder but I am learning the wheel. Anyways for the glaze on this one I used an eye dropper and squirted the glaze in splotches. very cool effect.

Criss-cross Pitcher

This is the criss-cross pitcher. This is one that I actually dreamt about. I had a dream one night about all these different designs for pots and when I woke up I drew the designs as best as I could remember. This design could be improved upon. But I like it and as you can see I use it again in another project.

Twisted Square

Square on top of square each slightly rotated, this vase was inspired by the thought of a water fountain and how it would drip down the sides. That is what I chose to do with the glaze I started with a glob on the top and let it run down which ever way it wanted to.

Dreamers

This is the Dreamers pot. It has a girl on one side and a boy on the other. They are closing their eyes lost in their dreams.

In between them is a quiet mountain scene with the sun rising over the peaks.

Bubble Bowl

This is my bubble bowl. It is the first bowl I threw on the wheel and the shape of it is just perfect I love the curve on it. However not being so adept at shaving and making the foot of the bowl I dug a little to deep and there is a crack in the bottom. It is still useful for holding non-liquid items. the glazing happened by pure accident, I first dipped it in a pink glaze then immediately changed my mind not wanting a pink bowl I dipped it in a second glaze which when placed on top of the pink made the beautiful blue you see here. the problem was that it was too much glaze and ran a bubbled.

slideshow pending

I was planning on getting a slide show set up to display all my masterpieces but I have not yet figured it out and I am currently quite frustrated with the whole thing therefore slide show is pending.
