Inspiration again from the pine cone, however, the pine flower came from the top of the pine cone and these ones come from the bottom. If you flip a pine cone over you will see that rather than pointing outwards like it does at the top the pines start to go inward. hard to explain but fascinating to see. I built these going from the outside layer adding the next inside and kep going till there was space left only for my finger in. These are small medium and large versions. The smallest is raku fired, the medium one is cone 10, and the largest is Terra sigillata.
This one is so cool! The idea came from a paper airplane! Yeah that is right Paper Airplane. I was bored at work one day and made a paper airplane. As I unfolded it I came up with this idea.
It was to be a vase that could hold flowers tall to small. I tested it out and it worked fairly well. I think the next time I will have to make it a bit bigger though.
